on a roll of a natural 1 it is a critical miss if the person is a fighter or fighter sub-classs he or she may roll under their lvl on a d20 to avoid the following affects. if the critical miss is not avoided roll a d6 to determine result.

  1. 1weapon thrown, # 2 broke/cracked weapon make save for weapon vrs crushing blow, # 3 equipment failure/breakage, # 4 damage done to nearest ally roll under dex for half damage, # 5 damage done to self roll under dex for half damage, # 6 random event roll d20 to determine result. # 1 critical hit to self, # critical hit to nearest ally, # 3 full damage done to self, #4 automatically hit by nearest opponent, # 5 fall prone opponents gain free attack at +4, #6 fall on back opponents gain free attack at +2, #7 full damage to self plus 1-8 bleeding damage per rd until healed, #8 hit self in head stunned for 1-4rds, #9 very bad stumble lose next attack rd, # 10 kill random creature with thrown weapon other than one that was being attacked, #11 bad stumble opponent gains free attack, # 12 jarring miss lose use of attacking arm for d6rds, #13 damage self resulting in visible scarring, #14 do full damage on nearest ally, #15 weapon stuck roll under half str to pull free, #16 obstruct nearest ally they lose next attack rd, #17 obstruct nearest ally their closest opponent gets free attack, #18 random damage to surroundings resulting in damage to self or ally, #19 temporary vision obstruction lose attacks until fixed, #20 kill opponent through freak accident.
